Cost of illness studies are essential in health process, especially regarding the implementation of public policies, since it requires evidence-based data. This type of study helps in the identification of strategies to reduce the cost of the disease through preventive actions or treatments. In the context this scope review was conducted aiming to identify and describe the cost studies in Brazilian Health scenario. There was identified 42 articles that matched with eligibility criteria, describing cost of illness studies from 2001 to 2019.
